After the rain had gone we walked out in the countryside again. There were already autumn signs – many more toadstools, some eaten by little animals. There were still clouds in the sky and the sea was dark – almost black, like ink. Soon the little boy was sleeping. We met my neighbour. She was leading her riding horse by its rein. She had already saddled the horse because she was going riding. It is a lovely black horse with a fat tummy – a bit of a greedy-guts. It will eat anything. It needs a long girth. She has a lovely American saddle – very comfortable as well as decorated with stars. The bridle is decorated with stars too.
